Billy Beare Callmeozz Net Yeah unfortunately the guy Nikki is talking about is a regular and has a pretty big following. I plan on talking to Fito about him. He was at Silva Lanes a few weeks back and all night long all I heard was how bad everyone was except for him. He does sing but not great. People like him can def kill a venue, someone like Speed or Amos would absolutely not tolerate it, and call him out on it. I think any and all KJ's should stand up for their singers. Although I will also say very very few are not guilty of judging others while they are singing, I hear it all the time. Considering you nailed that song, I'm not sure what he was saying about, I was sitting next to him and didn't hear it.

Mike Stearns Life is too short. Karaoke is about having a good time singing. it is not about how well someone does or how great their voice is. I would rather hear someone having a good time than a perfect-pitch rendition. So Mr. Heckler, in the words of the Georgia Satellites, "Don't give me no lines and keep you hands to yourself!" Keep singing ya'll, because it is fun.

Nikki Rayzin I'll stick to kjs and venues who have no tolerance for bullies. As much as I love karaoke, I have a hard time getting up and singing in front of people. It makes me very uncomfortable. That feeling of discomfort and anxiety is compounded when it's at a place I'm unfamiliar with containing mostly strangers. I don't need the additional discouragement of some guy as I'm getting off the stage and speaking condescendingly to me as if I'm a child. If kjs want to allow that, they might as well promote a judgmental zone and assure they lose potential newcomers.
