We are excited to have you on board as a host at one of the Call Me Ozz Dot Net LLC (referred to as CMO) managed events. We ask that you read the terms and conditions below carefully, understand and agree to them. It is not just fine print, but also to make sure everyone is on the same page. (NM State Fair Karaoke Showcase shall be referred to as: NMSF)

CHECK IN BEHIND STAGE WITH OZZ. YOU WILL HAVE A BRIEFING MEETING, DO NOT BE LATE. MINUTES ARE OF THE ESSENCE AT THE FAIR

1-Hopefully it doesn’t happen but, times are subject to change.

2-Please arrive early enough before your scheduled time to get settled in and get hooked up. At least 60 minutes before set up on stage time. If you do not show up within 30 minutes of stage time, we will call in a back up KJ to take your place, and you will not be compensated. Getting into the parking area can sometimes be a challenge. Please allow plenty of time to sit in traffic. (Sometimes up to an hour) This is to ensure you have plenty of time to get in, check your equipment and sound, and you will have a meeting about the format of the night with Ozz 45 minutes prior to your start time that will last for 15 minutes.

NMSF Stage Time starts at 5:00pm (Open Karaoke) (Elimination Rounds Begin at 8:00pm), except the Grande Finale which starts at 2:45pm. You would then show up by 1:45pm.

3-All performances are held at the Main Pavilion.

4-You will need to bring your computer/hard drive with your music on it. We supply VGA to HDMI, or strait HDMI, and 3.5mm to XLS audio output lines, however, it is a good idea to bring all cords that you normally use to set up for a regular karaoke night.

5-When you arrive, let Michael hook up your computer to the audio and video to the sound system, there will be a sound engineer, lighting engineer and stage director at the stage. You will not be in control of the sound. Place your volume at 50% on your computer and flat line your equalizer.

6-You should come with lots of excitement and enthusiasm. You will be the sole Emcee.

7-You may plug your business, KJ service and participating venue as much as you can, and very encouraged. (Please do not plug venues that are not participating venues) You may also make small flyers and business cards available. You are welcome and encouraged to bring a banner to promote your karaoke company and/or your venue that can be hung on the front of the stage (6' long).

8-Time will be of the essence, unnecessary talk is not permitted. Keep it focused and on to the next singer.

9-Play music in between singers however we want to keep it low key because we will be talking in between to encourage applause for the last singer and bringing up the next one. You have 20 seconds in between singers.

10-NMSF-Compensation: You shall be paid $125 for your services plus five entry passes into the NMSF, one for you, on your night, and then four do you as you please. You will receive an entertainer parking pass for your night.

11-You shall be paid by a Call Me Ozz company check the following day of your services.

12-You will be required to sign a 1099 for tax purposes.

13-Read the rules and understand them. Read them again the day before the first qualifying night as they are subject to change up until the night before the first qualifying night. (view here)

14-You are able to host at the NMSF because you are a KJ for a participating venue. If for any reason you are not a KJ at that venue at the time of the NMSF, your night to host, you may not be able to host. The current KJ at the participating venue at that time will most likely be the hosting KJ at the NMSF. (This is not applicable if you, the KJ paid the participating venue fee.)

15-You are limited to alcohol consumption on your night for insurance liabilities and NMSF guidelines. You may consume: one beer or one drink limited to one shot or one glass of wine during your contract time. Any intoxicated KJ's will be removed from the NMSF without compensation.

16-Help get the word out! This is a Community event and as such it is more for everyone when everyone helps promote it. CMO does their part to promote it, however, you are the KJ and you see more singers than we can possibly see.You will receive a digital banner to put on your screen in between singers at your gigs. Put a blurb about it on your scroller. Mention it throughout your show.

18-If you have any questions or concerns, or are unsure of anything, check the rules first. If you do not find your answer, send an email to: [email protected] or ask during your meeting with Ozz.

19-You must list the singers in the order that they are sent to you.

20 - Have a tablet or computer for sign ups at min paper.

21 - Pay docks for errors-lateness.

22 - We will send you the song set 5 days prior to the audition. Please check for problems and notify us of any problems within 24 hours.

23 - You must be the active KJ at the time of the fair to represent the venue.

24 - Only seasoned KJs can run the semi finals-finals-minors-first Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

7:45-8PM DJ While Band Exits Stage

8-End Of Showcase (Approx 9:30PM) Showcase

9:30-10:30PM Open Karaoke
